Telangana Education Policy Set for Legal Reform: CM Assigns Committee to Examine Commission Report
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed the preparation of a detailed implementation roadmap for the recommendations made by the Telangana Education Commission. The Chief Minister instructed that provisions requiring statutory backing and those to be implemented from the upcoming academic year be clearly identified and submitted in the form of a structured report.
The responsibility has been entrusted to a committee led by Government Advisor Dr. K. Keshava Rao.
Education Commission Submits Comprehensive Report
Telangana Education Commission Chairman Akunuri Murali, along with Commission members, formally submitted their policy report to the Chief Minister. The report outlines structural reforms across school education, higher education, regulatory mechanisms and curriculum modernization.
Commission members briefed the Chief Minister in detail about the framework and key recommendations included in the document.
Global Study Inputs from Multiple Countries
During the meeting, Commission representatives explained that the report was prepared after examining best practices from various international and domestic models. Study visits were conducted in countries such as the United States, Vietnam and Malaysia.
In addition, the team reviewed education systems and governance models in several Indian states to incorporate adaptable policy elements suitable for Telangana’s socio-economic context.
Focus on Legal Backing and Phased Implementation
After reviewing the recommendations, the Chief Minister suggested categorizing the proposals into two segments:

- Administrative measures that can be implemented from the next academic year.
