Story
The story is set in Kothapeta village in Annamayya district. Sriram, played by Sivaji, works as a dedicated panchayat secretary who leads a quiet life with his energetic wife Uthara (Laya) and their young son Mittu (Rohan).
Sriram’s life takes an unexpected turn after he gets into an argument with a local police officer, SI Vikram Vasudev (Prince). Later, the officer visits Sriram’s house when he is away. When Sriram returns home, he is shocked to find the officer dead inside his house.
Fearing the consequences of the situation, Sriram decides to secretly dispose of the body before the matter becomes public. The complications that follow and how the family handles the crisis form the central plot of the film.
Plus Points
Sivaji delivers a decent performance and suits the role of a middle-class government employee caught in a strange and stressful situation. His expressions and dialogue delivery work well in a few scenes, particularly when the narrative focuses on the tension surrounding the incident.
Laya appears in a quirky role and shares some light-hearted moments with Sivaji that bring mild humour to the story. Their interactions occasionally add relief in between the darker portions of the narrative.
Young actor Rohan has limited screen time but adds a few entertaining moments whenever he appears. Some comedic sequences, especially the police checkpoint episode and a few scenes involving Ali, manage to generate a few laughs.
Minus Points
The biggest drawback of the film is the weak writing. The premise has potential, but the screenplay fails to build tension or maintain consistent engagement. The story moves slowly and several scenes feel unnecessary.
Many characters appear without contributing much to the narrative. The MLA character and his storyline lack seriousness and fail to create the required impact. Similarly, Dhanraj’s character undergoes a sudden transformation towards the end that feels poorly developed.
Another major issue is the uneven tone of the film. Even though the plot revolves around a serious situation involving a dead body, several characters behave unrealistically. The female lead remains overly cheerful during critical moments, which reduces the tension that a dark comedy normally requires.
Some episodes, particularly the one involving Ali, appear disconnected from the main storyline and feel included only to extend the runtime. The narrative also lacks smooth transitions, making certain portions feel disjointed.
Technical Aspects
Director Sudheer Sriram attempts to create a dark crime comedy but struggles to balance humour and tension. The writing by Mithil Kumar and Sudheer Sriram feels dated and lacks strong dramatic moments.
Ritwik Reddy’s cinematography is decent and visually supports the rural setting of the film. Ranjin Raj’s music is serviceable, while the production values remain moderate.
However, the editing by Balu Manoj D could have been sharper. The film runs for around two hours and twenty-six minutes, and trimming several unnecessary scenes could have improved the overall pace.

Overall, Sampradayini Suppini Suddapoosani attempts to present a dark crime comedy with an unusual premise. While Sivaji and Rohan manage to keep a few scenes engaging, the film struggles due to weak writing, inconsistent tone, and an unnecessarily long runtime.
Although a handful of moments work, the uneven execution and lack of strong narrative momentum make the film a mixed experience. Viewers looking for a light comedy might find a few moments enjoyable, but the film does not fully utilize its promising concept.
