Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Requests Centre to Increase IPS Cadre Strength Revanth Reddy Seeks Increase in IPS Cadre Strength for Telangana Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has requested the Union Government to increase the number of Indian Police Service (IPS) officers allocated to the state. During his visit to New Delhi, the Chief Minister met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and discussed the growing administrative and security requirements of Telangana. The Chief Minister explained that the state requires additional IPS officers to effectively manage emerging challenges such as cybercrime, drug trafficking, and white-collar crimes. He emphasized that rapid urban expansion and increasing population in major cities are creating greater policing demands.
