Revanth Reddy Fulfils Promise, Provides New Houses to Families in Kamareddy
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy once again demonstrated his commitment to public welfare by fulfilling a promise he made during his “Haath Se Haath Jodo Yatra” as the state Congress president. The promise, made during a padayatra in 2023, has now been honored with the construction of new houses for two families in Kamareddy district.
During the march on March 18, 2023, when the padayatra passed through Chinnamallareddy village in Kamareddy district, Revanth Reddy met families who had lost their homes after heavy rains caused their houses to collapse. Deeply moved by their situation, he assured them that once the Congress party came to power, the government would build new houses for them.
Promise Made During Padayatra Now Fulfilled
Keeping that assurance, the Chief Minister ensured that two affected families – Bhikkanur Lakshmi and Chityala Rajamani – received newly constructed houses. The initiative was carried out under the government’s housing welfare program, turning their long-awaited dream of owning a safe home into reality.
Lakshmi’s new Indiramma house was constructed at the same location where her old house had collapsed due to the heavy rains. Similarly, a new home was built and handed over to Rajamani’s family as well.
Officials Supervise Construction Work
Following the Chief Minister’s directions, Government Advisor Shabbir Ali supervised the construction process to ensure that the houses were completed efficiently and handed over to the beneficiaries.
Shabbir Ali also participated in the housewarming ceremonies organized for the families when they moved into their newly built homes. The event marked a significant moment for the beneficiaries who had previously been left homeless after their houses were destroyed.
Housewarming Celebrations for Beneficiaries
On the occasion of the housewarming celebrations, Shabbir Ali presented traditional sarees to the women of the families on behalf of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. The gesture symbolized the government’s support and goodwill toward the beneficiaries.
The completion of these houses reflects the state government’s broader commitment to ensuring that families affected by disasters or economic hardships receive assistance through welfare initiatives such as the Indiramma housing scheme.
By fulfilling the promise he made during his padayatra, the Chief Minister reinforced his image as a leader who follows through on commitments made to citizens and prioritizes the welfare of vulnerable communities.
