CM Revanth Reddy Appeals to Telugu People in West Asia to Remain Alert
Amid the escalating tensions in West Asia, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy urged Telugu citizens residing in the affected countries to remain vigilant and ensure their personal safety.
Follow Embassy Guidelines Strictly
In view of the prevailing war-like situation and temporary closure of several airports, particularly in Iran, Dubai and other Gulf nations, the Chief Minister advised citizens to strictly follow the advisories issued by Indian embassies and diplomatic missions in those regions.
He emphasized that staying updated with official communications and avoiding unverified information is crucial during this period of uncertainty.
Safety of Telangana Citizens Top Priority
The Chief Minister stated that the safety and well-being of Telangana people is of utmost priority for the State Government. He directed officials to maintain continuous coordination with the Central Government and monitor developments closely.
Request to Central Government
Revanth Reddy requested the Union Government to take all necessary measures to safeguard Indian nationals stranded in Gulf countries and other affected regions.
He also appealed to the Union Minister for External Affairs, S. Jaishankar, to continuously assess the evolving situation through Indian embassies and ensure timely evacuation or safe return of Indian citizens, if required.
The State Government reiterated that it remains in constant touch with central authorities and is prepared to extend support to Telangana citizens during this emergency situation.
