Telangana to Implement 99-Day ‘Praja Palana – Pragathi Pranalika’ Programme
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced the launch of a statewide 99-day action programme titled ‘Praja Palana – Pragathi Pranalika’ to bring government schemes, development works and public welfare initiatives closer to the people.
The programme will be implemented from March 6 to June 12, covering activities from the village level to the state level. The Chief Minister directed all department secretaries and senior officials to ensure strict execution without compromise.
Focus on Telangana Formation Day
Marking June 2, Telangana Formation Day, as a grand celebration for the four crore people of the state, the 99-day initiative will culminate around the state’s anniversary, symbolizing administrative accountability and public outreach.
Administrative Reforms and File Clearance Drive
During a high-level review meeting at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Secretariat, the Chief Minister instructed officials to prioritize file clearances and conduct cleanliness drives across all government offices during the 99-day period.
He emphasized that progress will be personally monitored, with periodic reviews to ensure measurable outcomes.
Digital Governance and Technology Upgrades
The Chief Minister stressed the need for advanced technological integration in governance. Citizens should be able to access government services from home without visiting offices. Approvals for electricity connections, house permissions, water connections and other services must be streamlined online.
A special committee under senior IAS officer Jayesh Ranjan will recommend comprehensive digital reforms within three weeks.
Strengthening Welfare Delivery
The government will use technology to ensure effective delivery of welfare schemes such as Mahalakshmi, ration cards, ₹500 gas cylinders, free power up to 200 units, Aarogyasri and Indiramma housing benefits.
Continuous ration card application processing and eligibility tracking will be implemented to avoid exclusion of beneficiaries.
Education and Healthcare Reforms
The state plans to establish Telangana Public Schools in 100 mandals to match private school standards. Healthcare services in government hospitals will also be strengthened.
Telangana Rising Vision: CURE, PURE and RARE Zones
Under the Telangana Rising Vision, the state will be structured into CURE (Core Urban Region Economy), PURE (Peri Urban Region Economy) and RARE (Rural and Agriculture Region Economy) zones to strengthen economic growth.
The Peri-Urban Region spanning from Outer Ring Road to Regional Ring Road is envisioned as a major 10,000 sq km manufacturing zone in the coming years.
Infrastructure and Investment Monitoring
Officials were instructed to ensure that Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth nearly ₹8 lakh crore signed during global summits and international engagements translate into actual ground-level investments.
All departments must prepare structured action plans to ensure these projects materialize within stipulated timelines.
Future City and Administrative Infrastructure
The Chief Minister called for focused development of the proposed Future City and emphasized that government offices should function in owned buildings rather than rented premises, with necessary budget allocations proposed.
Call for Accountability and Commitment
As the government completes two years and three months in office, the Chief Minister urged officials to introspect, identify gaps, and prepare a clear roadmap for the remaining tenure.
He reiterated that public trust must be honored through transparent governance, accountability and measurable development outcomes.
