Allu Cinemas Opens in Hyderabad: CM Revanth Reddy Inaugurates Asia’s Largest Dolby Vision Screen
A new landmark has been added to Hyderabad’s entertainment infrastructure with the grand inauguration of “Allu Cinemas”, a state-of-the-art multiplex built by the Allu family in Kokapet. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy officially inaugurated the multiplex in a ceremony attended by prominent figures from the Telugu film industry and political leadership.
The inauguration ceremony was also attended by Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, along with actor Allu Arjun, producer Allu Aravind, and several well-known filmmakers and cinema personalities.
A New Entertainment Landmark in Hyderabad
Allu Cinemas has been designed as a premium multiplex with advanced technology and modern infrastructure aimed at delivering a world-class cinematic experience. The multiplex currently features four screens, including one equipped with a Dolby Vision screen that is claimed to be the largest in Asia.
The main screen measures approximately 75 feet in length, offering an immersive viewing experience supported by advanced Dolby technology. The facility has been under construction for several months and has now become one of the most technologically advanced theatres in the region.
Industry experts believe that the opening of Allu Cinemas reflects the growing transformation of Hyderabad into a global hub for film production and entertainment.
CM Revanth Reddy’s Vision for Telugu Cinema
Speaking during the inauguration ceremony, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy highlighted the rapid growth of the Telugu film industry and its expanding influence beyond national borders.
He expressed his hope that actor Allu Arjun would continue to rise to international prominence and eventually make a strong mark in Hollywood. According to the Chief Minister, Telugu cinema has already proven its strength at the national level, and the next step is to gain consistent recognition on global platforms.
Revanth Reddy praised Allu Arjun for his performances and stated that the actor has already established himself as one of the most recognizable faces in Indian cinema. He encouraged the star to aim even higher and compete with global film industries.
A Personal Connection to Cinema
During his speech, the Chief Minister also shared his personal memories of watching films during his younger days. He recalled traveling in trucks to reach theatres and watch movies, highlighting how cinema has always been an integral part of people’s lives.
He said that witnessing the Telugu film industry evolve into a globally recognized force is a matter of pride for the state.
According to the Chief Minister, the Telangana government recognizes the film industry as an important economic sector, alongside IT and pharmaceutical industries. The government has assured full support to initiatives that strengthen the cinema ecosystem in the state.
Support for Film Infrastructure Development
The government aims to further strengthen film-related infrastructure in Hyderabad so that international productions, including Hollywood projects, can choose the city as a preferred shooting destination.
Revanth Reddy appreciated the Allu family for investing in a modern multiplex and said such projects would contribute significantly to the cultural and entertainment landscape of Hyderabad.
He added that large-scale cinema infrastructure not only enhances audience experience but also strengthens the city’s reputation as one of India’s major film production centers.
Tribute to Legendary Actor Allu Ramalingaiah
As part of the inauguration ceremony, the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister paid tribute to legendary comedian and actor Allu Ramalingaiah. A statue of the late actor installed within the multiplex premises was unveiled during the event.
Members of the Allu family joined the dignitaries in paying respects, acknowledging the contributions of Ramalingaiah to Telugu cinema.
Film Screenings to Begin from March 19
The multiplex is scheduled to begin commercial screenings from March 19, coinciding with the Ugadi festive season. Among the first films expected to be screened at the theatre are “Ustaad Bhagat Singh” and “Dhurandhar 2.”
Ticket bookings for the multiplex are expected to open through online platforms such as BookMyShow from mid-March.

Several prominent personalities from the Telugu film industry attended the opening ceremony. Filmmakers such as K. Raghavendra Rao, Boyapati Srinu, Krish Jagarlamudi, and Nandini Reddy were among those present.
