Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan Supports Orphaned Children in Pithapuram

In a strong display of compassion-driven leadership, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has stepped forward to support orphaned children in his Pithapuram Assembly constituency, offering them financial security, housing assistance, and assured access to education.

The initiative reflects Pawan Kalyan’s consistent stance that public office is not merely about administration, but about standing with people during their most difficult moments.

Monthly Financial Support From Personal Salary

The Deputy Chief Minister announced that he will personally provide a monthly financial assistance of ₹5,000 each to two orphaned children from Madhavapuram village in Pithapuram mandal. Both children lost their father two years ago and recently lost their mother, leaving them without any family support or permanent shelter.

The assistance, amounting to ₹10,000 per month for the two children, will be extended directly from Pawan Kalyan’s own salary. Officials confirmed that this support will continue on a regular basis to ensure the children’s basic needs are met.

Immediate Housing Arrangements Ordered

Taking note of the fact that the children do not even have a house to live in, the Deputy Chief Minister directed officials to make immediate arrangements for the construction and allotment of a house for them.

He stressed that children who have lost both parents should not be left vulnerable and must be provided with dignified living conditions without delay.

Education Responsibility Handed to District Administration

Emphasising the importance of education in shaping their future, Pawan Kalyan instructed that both children be admitted to government residential schools or colleges from the upcoming academic year.

The responsibility of ensuring their education, welfare, and continuous monitoring has been entrusted to the [Kakinada District Collectorate](chatgpt://generic-entity?number=1). Officials have been asked to personally oversee admissions and related arrangements.

Continued Support for Orphaned Children

This is not the first such initiative by the Deputy Chief Minister. Across the Pithapuram constituency, Pawan Kalyan has already taken responsibility for supporting 42 orphaned children, extending financial assistance entirely from his salary.

His office stated that he considers the people of Pithapuram as his extended family and believes that governance must translate into tangible help for those who have no one else to rely on.

A Model of People-Centric Governance

The latest intervention has drawn widespread appreciation, with many viewing it as a rare example of personal accountability and empathy in public life. By responding swiftly to a distress message shared on social media, the Deputy Chief Minister reaffirmed his commitment to proactive and humane governance.

As Andhra Pradesh continues to focus on welfare-driven development, initiatives like these underline the role of leadership that goes beyond policy, touching lives at the grassroots level.
