KT Rama Rao Allegations Revanth Reddy KLSR Company

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao on Tuesday levelled allegations against Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, claiming links between a private company and government contracts awarded after the change of regime in the state.

Addressing the media in Hyderabad, Rama Rao demanded a detailed investigation by central agencies into the ownership and financial dealings of the company in question.

Allegations Raised by BRS

According to K.T. Rama Rao, a company identified as KLSR allegedly gifted a car to Revanth Reddy before he became the Chief Minister.

He further claimed that during Income Tax and Enforcement Directorate raids conducted in 2018, investigating agencies had reportedly flagged KLSR as a possible shell company.

Rama Rao alleged that funds linked to the company were invested in businesses associated with members of the Chief Minister’s family.

Questions Over Government Contracts

The BRS leader questioned how a company that, according to him, was unable to pay salaries to its employees was awarded government works worth approximately Rs 6,000 crore.

He demanded clarification on the decision-making process that led to the allocation of such large-scale government projects to the firm.

Call for Central Agency Investigation

K.T. Rama Rao urged the Central government to order a probe by agencies such as the IT Department and the Enforcement Directorate to establish the ownership structure of KLSR and examine its financial transactions.

He stated that a transparent investigation was necessary to place the facts before the public.

No Immediate Response from CM or Congress

As of the time of publishing, neither Chief Minister Revanth Reddy nor the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee had issued an official response to the allegations made by the BRS.

Government sources have not confirmed the claims regarding the company, its ownership, or the contracts cited by Rama Rao.

Political Context

The allegations come amid intensified political exchanges between the ruling Congress and the opposition BRS in Telangana, with both sides trading charges over governance, transparency, and use of investigative agencies.

Similar demands for probes have been raised by opposition parties in recent months on various administrative decisions taken by the state government.

Awaiting Further Developments

Any formal investigation or response from central agencies is yet to be announced.

The matter is expected to see further political and legal developments in the coming days.
