Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday laid the foundation stone for a Young India Integrated Residential School being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 200 crore in Miryalguda.
The project is coming up at Guduru village in Miryalguda mandal of Nalgonda district.
Participation in Praja Palana – Pragati Baata Programme
The Chief Minister participated in the Praja Palana – Pragati Baata programme held at Guduru, where he addressed the gathering and spoke about the government’s development and welfare initiatives.
He stated that the integrated residential school aims to provide quality education along with modern infrastructure for students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Financial Assistance to Women’s Federation
During the event, the Chief Minister handed over a cheque worth Rs 1,138 crore to the Nilgiri District Women’s Federation, as part of financial support initiatives for women’s self-help groups.
Officials said the assistance is intended to strengthen women-led economic activities and improve access to credit.
Overview of Welfare Schemes
Addressing the gathering, Revanth Reddy outlined various welfare programmes being implemented by the state government.
He referred to initiatives such as:
- Farm loan waiver scheme
- Rythu Bharosa support for farmers
- Distribution of fine rice through the public distribution system
- Bonus payments to farmers
- Free electricity supply for agriculture
The Chief Minister said these measures reflect the government’s focus on farmer welfare and rural development.
Presence of Ministers and Public Representatives
Several senior leaders attended the programme, including Ministers Uttam Kumar Reddy, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, and Adluri Lakshman Kumar.
Public representatives from the erstwhile district and senior officials were also present.
Project and Programme Implementation
Officials stated that construction of the residential school will commence shortly and is expected to be completed in phases.
The government said similar initiatives are being planned in other regions as part of its education and social welfare agenda.
