Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on the floor of the Assembly stated that the state government is delivering welfare at an unprecedented scale, calling it the largest welfare-driven governance model in the country.
Addressing legislators, the Chief Minister highlighted multiple flagship programmes aimed at supporting senior citizens, women, farmers, and economically weaker sections.
NTR Bharosa Pension at National Scale
The Chief Minister said the government is spending ₹2,750 crore every month under the NTR Bharosa Pension scheme, making it the largest pension programme in India. Annually, the state is allocating nearly ₹33,000 crore to ensure financial security for eligible beneficiaries.
Support for Mothers and Children
Under the “Talliki Vandanam” initiative, the government has extended financial assistance to all children in a family without any limit on the number of beneficiaries. The scheme aims to strengthen household stability and ensure education and welfare support reaches every child.
Women-Centric Programmes Expanded
Highlighting the success of the “Stree Shakti” scheme, Chandrababu Naidu revealed that women have completed over 43.5 crore free travel journeys so far, significantly improving mobility, access to work, and safety.
In addition, the “Deepam 2.0” scheme provides three free LPG cylinders every year to women, easing household expenses and promoting cleaner cooking practices.
Major Relief for Farmers
The Chief Minister said the “Annadata Sukhibhava” scheme is offering ₹20,000 to farmers in three instalments, helping them manage cultivation costs and seasonal challenges.
Affordable Food Through Anna Canteens
To address food security, the government is establishing Anna Canteens in every constituency across the state. These canteens aim to provide nutritious meals at highly affordable prices for the urban poor, daily wage workers, and travellers.
Commitment to Inclusive Governance
Chandrababu Naidu asserted that the government remains committed to inclusive and transparent governance, ensuring that welfare benefits reach every eligible citizen without discrimination.
He added that these initiatives reflect the government’s resolve to combine development with social justice and long-term economic stability for Andhra Pradesh.
