Andhra Pradesh marked a significant milestone in its deep-tech journey at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 held in New Delhi, signing multiple high-impact Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at strengthening artificial intelligence, quantum computing, cybersecurity, smart governance, and higher education ecosystems.

The summit witnessed enthusiastic participation from government leaders, industry pioneers, and global institutions. Andhra Pradesh positioned itself prominently by securing strategic partnerships that align with its long-term digital and innovation roadmap.

AP–UNICC Partnership: Amaravati to Emerge as Digital Embassy for Secure AI

AP UNICC AI Quantum MoU

Andhra Pradesh joined hands with the United Nations International Computing Centre (UNICC) to establish a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for AI and Quantum Computing at the Amaravati Quantum Valley.

This initiative will position Amaravati as a Digital Embassy for Secure AI, enabling sovereign and cybersecure AI deployments aligned with UN-grade standards. The collaboration is expected to introduce global best practices, foster international partnerships, and elevate Andhra Pradesh’s global standing in trusted AI and quantum readiness.

A Letter of Intent was signed during the summit, with senior UNICC leadership participating in the engagement.

IBM Partnership: Skilling 1 Lakh Youth in AI, Cybersecurity & Quantum

In a major workforce development initiative, Andhra Pradesh signed a Letter of Intent with IBM to skill 1 lakh youngsters across AI, Cybersecurity, and Quantum Computing over the next 3 to 5 years.

The partnership will deliver industry-aligned curriculum, future-ready training modules, and hands-on exposure to emerging technologies. This move is expected to significantly strengthen the State’s tech workforce and boost employability across global markets.

Senior IBM leadership including global and India heads participated in the signing ceremony at the summit.

Smart Governance Push with Quantela

A productive meeting was also held with the leadership of Quantela Inc., focusing on leveraging AI-driven platforms to enhance smart governance and citizen-centric innovation.

The discussions centered on integrating advanced data analytics and AI tools to improve service delivery, urban management systems, and public administration efficiency across Andhra Pradesh.

MoU with Calibo Inc: AI Curriculum & State-Level Sandbox

AP Calibo AI MoU

Building on earlier discussions at the World Economic Forum in Davos, the Government of Andhra Pradesh signed an MoU with Michigan-based Calibo, Inc.

The partnership will support more than 50 higher education institutions with AI curriculum frameworks, sandbox environments, faculty development programs, and applied learning modules designed to improve student skills and employability.

Additionally, through the Real Time Governance Society (RTGS), the State will establish a State-level AI Sandbox with Calibo. This secure digital environment will help design faster, smarter, and more efficient public services.

Notably, Calibo’s founder has roots in Andhra Pradesh, adding a sense of pride to the collaboration.

Global Competitiveness & Shared Prosperity with AI

Andhra Pradesh also participated in a World Economic Forum roundtable at the summit, sharing its vision for building global competitiveness and shared prosperity through responsible AI deployment.

With structured investments in AI infrastructure, quantum research, workforce skilling, and governance modernization, the State aims to become a national and global benchmark in digital transformation.
