About Nandamuri Balakrishna
Nandamuri Balakrishna is one of the most influential personalities in Telugu cinema and Andhra Pradesh politics. Born on 10 June 1960 in Madras (now Chennai), he is the sixth son of legendary actor and former Chief Minister N. T. Rama Rao (NTR). Being raised in a family that shaped Telugu cinema and state politics, Balakrishna was exposed to public life from an early age.
He made his acting debut as a child artist in 1974 with the film Tatamma Kala. After completing his education, he entered lead roles during the 1980s and quickly established himself as a mass hero. Over the years, Balakrishna became widely known for his commanding screen presence, powerful dialogue delivery, and performances in action, mythological, and historical films.

Balakrishna serves as the Chairman of the Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute in Hyderabad, which was established in memory of his mother.
