Pawan Kalyan Meets CM Chandrababu Naidu; Key Development Issues Reviewed
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan met Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu at his residence in Undavalli to discuss key issues related to Panchayat Raj, Rural Development, RWS (Rural Water Supply), and the Forest Department.
The meeting comes at a time when Assembly sessions are underway, with leaders reviewing policy implementation and development priorities across the state.
Review of Jal Jeevan Mission and Fund Utilization
During the discussion, the progress of Jal Jeevan Mission works across Andhra Pradesh was reviewed. The Deputy Chief Minister briefed the Chief Minister on the status of ongoing projects, utilization of allocated funds, and pending works.
They also examined the allocation of development funds for roads under the Panchayat Raj Department and reviewed constituency-wise distribution of these funds.
Magic Drains Initiative Across Panchayats
Pawan Kalyan highlighted the implementation of “Magic Drains” in several gram panchayats. He explained that expanding this model across all panchayats could significantly improve sanitation management and ensure better drainage systems statewide.
Officials reportedly discussed scaling up this initiative to strengthen rural infrastructure and public health standards.
Drainage Desilting Before Kharif Season
The Deputy Chief Minister also raised the issue of desilting drainage canals under the Irrigation Department. He suggested that desilting work should be undertaken during the summer months to ensure completion before the farming season begins.
This measure is expected to help farmers by improving water flow and reducing potential flooding during crop cultivation.
Forest Department and Hanuman Project
Pawan Kalyan briefed the Chief Minister about the Forest Department’s “Hanuman Project” and its objectives. Details of the initiative, including conservation and development measures, were presented during the meeting.
Ongoing Policy Discussions During Assembly Session
The leaders decided to continue discussions on multiple governance and development matters during the Assembly session period. The meeting at the Chief Minister’s residence forms part of a broader review process aimed at monitoring departmental performance and ensuring timely implementation of projects.
