Telangana Invites Netflix Expansion to Bharat Future City as Eyeline Studio Opens in Hyderabad
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced that the state government is ready to allocate land for the expansion of Netflix operations in the upcoming Bharat Future City project near Hyderabad. The announcement came during the inauguration of the Netflix Eyeline Studio, which is now the second-largest facility of its kind in India after Mumbai.
The studio was inaugurated by the Chief Minister along with IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu. The new facility is expected to significantly boost Hyderabad’s presence in global entertainment sectors such as animation, visual effects (VFX), gaming, and comics.
Hyderabad Emerging as a Global Entertainment Hub
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the Chief Minister expressed optimism about Hyderabad’s growing role in the international entertainment ecosystem. He said the arrival of Netflix marks an important milestone for the city’s creative and digital industries.

The Chief Minister stated that if Netflix chooses to expand further, the government is prepared to allocate sufficient land in the ambitious Bharat Future City project to accommodate the company’s growth plans.

The Chief Minister also expressed hope that Netflix would consider relocating its corporate operations to Hyderabad in the future. He said the city offers strong infrastructure, skilled talent, and a thriving technology ecosystem capable of supporting large-scale global operations.
He reiterated the state government’s goal of attracting Fortune 500 companies to operate from Hyderabad as part of its long-term economic strategy.

During his address, the Chief Minister reflected on the evolution of cinema and entertainment technology. From the early days of black-and-white films to Technicolor, Eastman Color, 70mm formats, Dolby sound systems, and today’s advanced digital production technologies, the industry has undergone rapid transformation.
He emphasized that Hyderabad has the potential to become a destination not only for Tollywood and Bollywood productions but also for international filmmaking and content creation, including projects connected to Hollywood.
