Story
Set in the year 2020, the story revolves around Anitha (Anupama Parameswaran), a young woman who is actively searching for employment while living a peaceful life with her family. Her life takes an unexpected turn when a friend promises to help her secure a job and takes her to a party.
A few months later, Anitha’s world collapses when she discovers that she is pregnant. Overwhelmed and unable to reveal the truth to her family, she decides to secretly terminate the pregnancy. However, her plans become complicated when the nationwide COVID-19 lockdown suddenly comes into effect.
Trapped by circumstances and with limited options available, Anitha must navigate a series of emotional and practical challenges. How she confronts her situation and the decisions she ultimately makes form the core of the film’s narrative.
Performances
Anupama Parameswaran delivers a sincere performance and carries most of the film on her shoulders. Known for her ability to portray both lively and emotionally intense roles, she once again proves her capability as a performer. Her portrayal of a young woman struggling with guilt, fear, and uncertainty feels natural in several scenes.
However, the supporting cast does not receive enough scope to shine. Actors like Charlie, Nirosha, and others appear in important roles but are underutilized due to the limited depth in the screenplay.
