‘Hanuman’ Initiative Launched to Prevent Human–Wildlife Conflict

A new initiative titled ‘Hanuman’ has been launched with the objective of addressing and preventing conflicts between humans and wild animals across the state.

Deputy Chief Minister and Forest & Environment Minister Pawan Kalyan attended the inaugural ceremony of the Hanuman Foundation, marking a significant step toward strengthening wildlife protection and ensuring public safety.

Focus on Reducing Human–Wildlife Clashes

The initiative aims to create structured mechanisms to minimize instances of human–wildlife encounters, especially in forest fringe villages and rapidly expanding rural-urban transition zones.

Officials indicated that the programme will focus on awareness, rapid response systems, habitat protection and scientific management strategies to ensure coexistence.

Strengthening Environmental Governance

Speaking at the event, the Deputy Chief Minister emphasized the need for sustainable environmental management and responsible governance to balance ecological conservation with human development.

The Hanuman Foundation is expected to work in coordination with the Forest Department and environmental experts to implement preventive and rehabilitative measures across vulnerable regions.
