Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday laid foundation stones for large-scale education and infrastructure projects in Nizamabad district as part of the government’s “Prajapalana – Pragathi Bata” outreach programme.

The initiatives aim to strengthen public education, women empowerment, higher education infrastructure, and road connectivity across the district.

Young India Integrated Residential Schools Worth ₹600 Crore

The Chief Minister laid foundation stones for Young India Integrated Residential Schools in the Armoor, Bodhan, and Nizamabad Rural Assembly constituencies.

Each school will be constructed at an estimated cost of ₹200 crore, bringing the total investment for the three institutions to ₹600 crore. These schools are intended to provide quality residential education with modern infrastructure to students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Prajapalana – Pragathi Bata Public Meeting

After inaugurating and laying foundation stones for various projects, the Chief Minister addressed a public meeting at Bardipur village in Dichpally mandal.

Speaking at the gathering, he highlighted the state government’s commitment to welfare schemes and called for public cooperation in driving Telangana’s development forward.

Support to Women Self-Help Groups

As part of the programme, the Chief Minister handed over a cheque towards ₹200 crore in bank linkage support to the Indur district women’s federation, representing 1,614 Self-Help Groups (SHGs).

The initiative is aimed at strengthening women-led enterprises and improving financial inclusion at the grassroots level.

Commitment to Agriculture and District Development

Emphasising Nizamabad’s agricultural importance, the Chief Minister said the district stands as a model for farming practices across the country.

He assured farmers and residents that the state government would make every effort to complete pending irrigation and development projects and allocate additional funds wherever necessary.

List of Development Projects Inaugurated and Launched

  • Construction of SC boys’ and girls’ hostels at Telangana University, Dichpally, at a cost of ₹20 crore.
  • Tribal Welfare Department works including staff quarters and additional facilities at the Ekalavya Model Residential School, Indalwai.
  • Construction of a girls’ hostel at Telangana University at a cost of ₹8.60 crore.
  • Construction of an indoor stadium at the university with an estimated cost of ₹1.36 crore.
  • Expansion works for the university auditorium, administrative building, and CSE block with an estimated cost of ₹43 crore.
  • Inauguration of the university science laboratory developed at a cost of ₹18 crore.
  • Distribution of ₹200 crore in bank linkage cheques to Self-Help Groups.
  • Road widening works in Nizamabad district at an estimated cost of ₹21 crore, including:
    • Gandhinagar to Binola Road (0/0 km to 5/8 km).
    • PWD & JNN Road via Siranpally to Nizampur (0/0 km to 8/2 km).

Participation of Ministers and Public Representatives

The event was attended by Ministers Uttam Kumar Reddy and Tummala Nageswara Rao, Government Advisors Sudarshan Reddy and Mohammad Ali Shabbir, along with several elected representatives from the erstwhile district.

Focus on Inclusive Development

The Chief Minister reiterated that the state government remains focused on inclusive growth by investing in education, agriculture, women empowerment, and infrastructure.

He stated that development of districts like Nizamabad would play a key role in strengthening Telangana’s overall progress in the coming years.
