Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan’s Initiative Transforms Konidela Village

Konidela village in Nandikotkur mandal of Nandyal district has witnessed significant development under the initiative of Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. Fulfilling a promise made before elections, he extended focused support for the village’s infrastructure and drinking water needs.

₹50 Lakh Donation for Overhead Drinking Water Tank

A major highlight of the development works is the construction of a 90,000-litre protected drinking water overhead tank, funded through a ₹50 lakh personal donation by the Deputy CM.

The new facility is expected to address the drinking water needs of nearly 2,000 residents in the village. Officials confirmed that the tank was completed ahead of the summer season, providing much-needed relief.

The Deputy CM appreciated district authorities and Rural Water Supply (RWS) officials for ensuring timely completion of the project.

₹6 Crore Worth Comprehensive Development Works

Beyond the drinking water project, Konidela village has benefited from approximately ₹6 crore worth of development initiatives under various schemes:

  • Palle Pandaga 1.0: Over ₹20 lakh spent on internal road construction (completed).
  • Palle Pandaga 2.0: ₹45 lakh sanctioned for seven CC roads (ongoing).
  • Rural Road Sub-Plan: ₹4 crore allocated for 5 km BT road from ZP School to Lakshmapuram.
  • ₹45 lakh sanctioned for road restoration from R&B road to Konidela village.
  • Construction of 4 cattle shelters (Gokulams).
  • 19 houses built with support from Housing Department.
  • Development of 49 feeder channels under MGNREGS.
  • Restoration of two minor canals and repair of three community check dams.

Promise Made, Promise Kept

During the 2019 general elections, villagers requested that Pawan Kalyan adopt Konidela village. At that time, he assured support to the village bearing his family name.

In line with that commitment, development initiatives have been systematically implemented after the formation of the coalition government. Officials state that works are being taken up based on local demands and priority needs.

Focus on Sustainable Rural Growth

The Konidela development model reflects a mix of drinking water infrastructure, road connectivity, housing support, irrigation strengthening, and rural employment enhancement.

Authorities indicated that further improvements will continue based on village-level requirements and available scheme allocations.
