The Jana Sena Party on Sunday formally launched its active membership registration programme, with party president Pawan Kalyan inaugurating the drive at the party’s central office in Mangalagiri. The initiative is aimed at strengthening the organisation ideologically and structurally as the party moves into its next phase of political expansion.
Marking the beginning of the programme, Pawan Kalyan made a personal contribution of ₹2 crore and enrolled himself as the first active member under the new registration drive, setting the tone for the campaign.
New Three-Tier Cadre Structure Announced
Addressing party leaders and members, Pawan Kalyan announced a new three-tier classification system for Jana Sena supporters, designed to recognise different levels of involvement and contribution to the party’s movement.
According to the new structure, individuals who deeply understand the party’s ideology and actively work in alignment with its principles and aspirations will be referred to as “Udyami.” Those who take on a more intensive role by mobilising people, inspiring the younger generation, and strengthening the party’s organisational struggle will be known as “Sadhak.”
Supporters who may not be directly involved in day-to-day political activities but contribute to the party through time, financial assistance, technical expertise, service, or intellectual support will be identified as “Pradata,” Pawan Kalyan explained.
From a Small Beginning to a Mass Organisation
Reflecting on the party’s growth, Pawan Kalyan recalled that Jana Sena began with just 150 people. During the first phase of active membership registration launched in 2021, around 90,000 members were enrolled. As the party moved closer to elections, that number grew to six lakh.
Following the elections, total membership rose to nearly 12.98 lakh, indicating a steady expansion of the party’s support base across Andhra Pradesh.
He noted that people from diverse backgrounds—including small traders, daily wage workers, professionals, and educated youth—had become part of the membership process, highlighting the party’s broad social reach.
Focus on Ideology Over Numbers
Pawan Kalyan emphasised that the party is not merely focused on increasing numbers, but on attracting individuals who genuinely understand and believe in Jana Sena’s ideology and long-term vision.
“People who comprehend the party’s philosophy and are willing to carry forward its ideals are what truly matter to us,” he said, underlining the importance of commitment and clarity of purpose among members.
Leaders Attend Launch Event
Several senior leaders were present at the launch of the membership programme, including Political Affairs Committee chairman Nadendla Manohar, political secretary to the party president Pidugu Hariprasad, general secretary Ram Talluri, and Programme Management Committee chairman Kalyanam Shiva Srinivas.
The event was also attended by party members who had achieved the highest membership enrolments during the previous registration drive, acknowledging their efforts and contributions.
Strengthening the Party’s Grassroots Network
With the launch of this new active membership programme, Jana Sena aims to deepen its grassroots presence and build a disciplined cadre aligned with its ideological framework. Party leaders believe the initiative will play a crucial role in shaping the organisation’s future political strategies and public outreach.
The drive is expected to continue across the state in the coming weeks, with a focus on structured participation and long-term organisational strength.
