In a major public health initiative, the state government has launched a large-scale deworming drive across all Anganwadi centres, schools, and colleges. Under this campaign, children and adolescents aged between 1 and 19 years are being administered 400MG Albendazole tablets free of cost.
Officials estimate that nearly 1.11 crore beneficiaries will receive the medication as part of this statewide preventive healthcare program aimed at combating intestinal worm infections.
