Bhopal Police Investigation in Minor Rape Case

A disturbing criminal case from Bhopal has sent shockwaves across Madhya Pradesh after police arrested two men accused of repeatedly sexually assaulting a Class 11 student and blackmailing her using recorded videos. The seriousness of the allegations prompted the state government to constitute a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to examine whether the crime extends beyond a single incident.

Repeated Assault Alleged Inside Vehicles

According to police officials, the survivor, who is a minor, was allegedly raped multiple times inside different vehicles. Investigators stated that the accused recorded videos of the assault and later used them to threaten and blackmail the girl.

The accused have been identified as Ausaf Ali Khan and Maz Khan. Both were taken into custody soon after the complaint was lodged. Police confirmed that several cars allegedly used during the commission of the crime have been seized as part of the investigation.

Blackmail, Threats, and Money Demands

Officials said the accused allegedly demanded money from the victim and continued to threaten her using the recorded footage. Digital devices, including mobile phones, are currently undergoing forensic examination to recover deleted data and establish a detailed timeline.

Authorities emphasized that the investigation is being conducted strictly on the basis of evidence and legal procedure.

Special Investigation Team Formed

Given the gravity of the case, the Madhya Pradesh government has formed a Special Investigation Team to probe whether other victims were targeted and to rule out the presence of a larger criminal network.

The SIT has been instructed to examine past records, digital evidence, financial transactions, and possible links to similar incidents. Officials clarified that no conclusions will be drawn without verified evidence.

Victim Support and Legal Safeguards

Police confirmed that the survivor has been provided medical care, counselling, and legal assistance in accordance with the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Her identity has been protected, and statements have been recorded before a magistrate.

Child welfare authorities are monitoring the situation to ensure the safety and well-being of the minor.

Investigation Ongoing

Senior police officials stated that further arrests are not being ruled out if additional evidence emerges. They urged the public and social media users to avoid spreading unverified information that could hinder the investigation or harm the survivor.

The SIT is expected to submit its preliminary findings in the coming weeks as the case continues to unfold.
