AP State Election Commission Issues Key Guidelines for Gram Panchayat Voter List – Publication on March 9, 2026
The Andhra Pradesh State Election Commission (APSEC) has issued detailed instructions regarding the preparation and publication of the Gram Panchayat voter lists. The final voter lists are scheduled to be officially published on March 9, 2026.
Mother List and Mandatory Updates
Officials have been instructed to obtain the Assembly Electoral “Mother List” as on January 1, 2025, along with all updates incorporated up to February 5, 2026. These records will form the base for preparing the Panchayat voter rolls.
Distribution and Verification Process
- Hard copies of voter data must be supplied mandal-wise to Deputy MPDOs.
- Panchayat Secretaries are required to verify the voter details pertaining to their respective Gram Panchayats.
- A Gram Panchayat-wise Data Input Sheet must be prepared and properly mapped.
- The total number of Net Voters at the Panchayat level must exactly match the Mandal-level Net Voters. No eligible voter should be omitted.
Software Processing and Sorting
The verified data must be uploaded into the designated software system. The voter list should then be sorted village-wise and door number-wise before generating the final list.
- Any errors in door numbers must be corrected before final sorting.
- If software-based sorting is not feasible, manual mapping is permitted to prepare the final voter list.
Legal Compliance
All procedures must strictly adhere to the provisions of Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 (Section 11) and Government Order (GO) 254. Compliance with these statutory norms is mandatory during the preparation and publication process.
Final Publication Date
The Gram Panchayat voter list will be officially published on 09-03-2026.
Officials have been advised to circulate these instructions immediately among concerned staff to ensure timely and accurate completion of the voter list preparation.
