Andhra Pradesh Government Job Calendar Vacancies

The Andhra Pradesh government has initiated a detailed exercise to assess vacant posts across departments, ahead of issuing a Job Calendar expected around Ugadi. Officials said the move is aimed at streamlining recruitment and filling long-pending vacancies in a phased manner.

As part of the exercise, departments have been directed to submit updated data on sanctioned posts, working strength, and existing vacancies.

Vacancies Across Major Departments

Preliminary estimates shared by officials indicate a large number of vacancies across key government departments.

  • Revenue Department: Around 13,000 vacancies
  • Education Department: Approximately 7,000 vacancies
  • Universities: Nearly 3,000 teaching and non-teaching posts
  • Panchayat Raj: About 26,000 vacancies
  • Municipal Administration: Around 26,800 vacancies
  • Agriculture Department: Nearly 3,000 vacancies
  • Skill Development: About 4,200 vacancies

Officials noted that vacancy figures from other departments are still being compiled and verified.

Total Vacancies May Touch 90,000

Based on data received so far, government sources estimate that the total number of vacant posts across all departments could reach up to 90,000.

However, final figures will be confirmed only after all departments complete the verification process and submit consolidated reports.

Purpose of the Job Calendar

The proposed Job Calendar is expected to outline a time-bound recruitment plan, specifying notifications, examinations, and appointments department-wise.

Officials said the objective is to bring predictability and transparency to government recruitment, while addressing staffing shortages in public services.

Next Steps

Once the vacancy data is finalised, the government is expected to issue instructions to recruitment agencies regarding notifications and selection processes.

No official schedule or notification dates have been announced so far. Authorities have clarified that appointments will be carried out in phases, subject to administrative and financial approvals.

Awaiting Official Announcement

The Job Calendar is expected to be announced formally after the completion of the ongoing assessment exercise.

Further details will be released through official government channels.
