NTR Fans Protest Against TDP MLA Daggubati Venkat Prasad, Demand Public Apology

Tensions rose in Anantapur district as NTR fans staged a protest against Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA Daggubati Venkat Prasad. The agitation was triggered by the MLA’s alleged disrespectful remarks towards the late actor and political legend Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR).

The protesters, who are also members of the TDP from Puttaparthi, gathered to voice their anger and disappointment. According to them, NTR’s name should never be misused in political controversies for self-serving purposes. They demanded that the MLA immediately withdraw his comments and issue a formal apology.

At 00:11 in the protest video, leaders of the gathering stressed that nothing short of a direct apology would be acceptable. By 00:29, the fans firmly stated that NTR’s legacy belongs to the people and should not be dragged into internal political issues. The protesters further insisted that the MLA must apologize publicly in Anantapur, in front of the press and their convener, as emphasized around 03:32 in the footage.
