A young man from Chhattisgarh recently found himself in a situation that sounds straight out of a cricket fan’s dream. Manish, a local resident, began receiving phone calls from none other than Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. But there was an unusual twist behind these unexpected connections with cricket royalty.
It turns out that the mobile number Manish was using once belonged to Rajat Patidar, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain. Due to the number being inactive for six months, the telecom company reassigned it to Manish. As a result, when Kohli, de Villiers, and possibly other cricketing associates tried to reach Patidar, the calls landed on Manish’s phone instead.
The incident took a more official turn when the matter came to the attention of the police. Following protocol, authorities took back the SIM card from Manish and returned it to its original user, Rajat Patidar.
Interestingly, Manish revealed that he is a long-time Virat Kohli fan. Though his unexpected conversations with the cricket stars were brief, they have given him a story he will likely cherish for years—one that blends coincidence, cricket, and a touch of destiny.
